As chief investment officer, Jeffer Choudhry, CFA, is responsible for leading the team that oversees investment of the University’s Consolidated Endowment Fund.
Prior to joining Pitt in February 2022, Jeffer served in the investment office at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), most recently as senior managing director and head of investments. Before joining CMU, he worked in the investment office at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He previously worked in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, and began his career as an integrated circuit designer at LSI Logic Corporation.
Jeffer earned his MBA from the Yale School of Management and his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Jeffer also currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.
